Calling All Writers!!

So, I am applying to be on Timpview's writing staff for the school newspaper The Thunderbolt. We have to fill out a pretty big application (which I've done). My one problem is the last thing on the list. I need to write a legit article and turn it in. My problem isn't the writing part, no, I have no idea what to write about! I need your suggestions.
