Music Video

Hey, I was just thinking today, that probably my favorite music video (because I haven't seen many ) is "You belong with Me" by Taylor Swift. I know that some people are really annoyed with this song now, but I still like it and I think the Music Video is cute! So skip the advertisment and don't watch it if you hate it! Enjoy!

Another Poem...

So, today we had another free write in English. Remember the last one? It inspired The Dragon and the Knight? Well, here comes another. . . I will admit it's kind of strange and I don't really get it, but, what can I say?

Dreaming

Dreams to me, are like Fairytales,
Where nothing can't be done.
Laying your head on the pillow mean the adventure's just begun!

The world is swir
ling around you,
From darkness into light,
And suddenly you're someon
e else but, to you it feels alright!

Then you're lost in a world of colors,
Where nothing has to be real.
And all that matters is what you're seeing and what you really feel.

There's a fantasy around you,
Like you're acting a part in a play,
And nothing will ever seem different, until you wake up the next day.

The Dream th
at had once been vivid,
That was vibrant
and great to behold,
Now slowly slips from your
memory, never again to be told.

The Kane Chronicles

Rick Riordan, the author of The Lightning Thief is coming out with a new series! No, it has nothing to do with Percy Jackson. Although, he is writing another series in relation to that also, which is coming out late this year. In the meantime, The Kane Chronicles. Apparently, Rick’s new series is about two siblings, Carter and Sadie Kane battling Ancient Egyptian gods in the modern world, will launch May 4, 2010 with the first book: The Red Pyramid. Not Greek gods, Egyptian. Interesting. I wonder what they will be like? If you want to read the first chapter of the book, click Here.

Movie Review

I really enjoyed The Lightning Thief! The movie was very good with amazing special effects. However, some of the plot was completely different. I don't want to give away too much, in case you haven't read the book, but some of the characters reasons for doing things, were way off! It really affected the movie. It was a great movie though, really funny. The actors were great! I loved Logan Learman (Percy). Grover was really funny but Annabeth should have been blond. I personally think that they should have developed Luke's character more though. I understood him because I had read the book, but I don't understand how others would have. . . Over all, I loved it. I'm not too disappointing. There are somethings that I can gladly overlook, but some I just can't. . .

Book Review: Must Read

I started this book yesterday. I finished this book yesterday. It was AMAZING!! Recently, my friends and I are in sort of a reading contest. We each had to pick 5 books at random from a book list and read them. Fortunately, I picked this one! It is so good!

The Plot:
Thomas arrives in a place called the Glade , having no memory of who he was or his life prior to waking up in an elevator while on the way up to the Glade. He is one of about 50 boys. He finds out the Glade is the center of an ever-changing maze which seems to have no exit, and which is populated by blood-thirsty creatures known as "grievers". There are 4 doors leading into the maze, that open every morning, and shut every night. The boys that inhabit the Glade, send"runners" into the maze each day to map it out. All have to be back before the doors close or they will not survive the night in the maze. The day after Thomas arrives, the first and only girl ever sent to the Glade arrives with a message that she is the last one to be sent and that the end is near. She then lapses into a fitful coma. Thomas must try to figure out why she looks familiar and if there is a way out of the maze before everything completely falls apart in the Glade.

I think this book is really well written and has a really good plot line! If you think it looks good; read it. If you think it looks bad; read it. Don't be daunted by the start. It is kind of confusing, but it's supposed to be that way! You'll get it more as the main character learns more. It's a mystery story that you keep collecting little pieces of throughout the book!

Warning: It is a series. The Maze Runner is just book one and the next book doesn't come out until OCTOBER! It also has a really bad cliff-hanger ending. It's your choice. In my opinion, read it anyways! It's that good (and you know how much I read)!
